About

Tonitza Cafe is a café and art gallery on Strada Șepcari, in Bucharest's old town. We serve specialty coffee, breakfast, salads, homemade focaccia and desserts, as well as wine, sparkling wine and cocktails.

The café's walls are the gallery: changing exhibitions of contemporary art, with works available to buy. You'll find the current exhibition on the Exhibitions page.

We took our name from Nicolae Tonitza (1886–1940), the painter of warm light and portraits of children.
